ABOUT ME

Welcome, I’m Priestess Ganesa, founder of HolisticXpressions, author, wellness educator, podcast host, and creator dedicated to supporting holistic healing through the connection of body, mind, and spirit.

My work is centered around the belief that wellness is a journey of reconnecting with ourselves and creating practices that nourish, restore, and support us in everyday life.

I am an Usui Reiki Ryoho Shinpiden Teacher (Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher), a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), a certified meditation teacher, and specialize in eye yoga and pranayama practices. I am also currently completing advanced training to become a certified somatic therapy practitioner, continuing my education in nervous system awareness, regulation, and body-based healing approaches.

Nourishment has always been an important part of my path. I have followed a plant-based lifestyle for over 35 years and have been vegan for more than 30 of those years, giving me a deep personal connection to plant-based living, mindful eating, and creating nourishing meals that support the body

Through HolisticXpressions, I share holistic wellness practices, plant-based nourishment, mindfulness tools, breathwork, meditation, and nervous system support resources through my writing, podcast, teaching, and the Nourish & Restore Journal.

My approach is rooted in both education and lived experience. The practices I share are not only concepts I have studied, but tools I have personally explored and integrated throughout my own healing journey.

My intention is to create a space where others feel inspired to reconnect with themselves, cultivate self-awareness, and discover practices that support their own unique path toward balance and well-being.

My Journey

My journey into holistic wellness has been a lifelong unfolding — one shaped by family, spirituality, personal growth, healing, and a deep curiosity about the connection between the body, mind, and spirit.

I was raised with a strong connection to my Afro-Cuban spiritual traditions and the wisdom passed down through my family. Growing up with the guidance of my grandmother, who was a high priestess within our traditions, gave me an early understanding of spirituality, energy, ritual, and the importance of honoring our connection with ourselves, each other, nature, and the world around us.

That foundation planted seeds that continued to grow throughout my life.

As I moved through my own experiences, challenges, and healing journey, I began exploring different practices that supported my growth and helped me reconnect with myself. Through yoga, Reiki, meditation, breathwork, mindfulness, and other holistic practices, I discovered tools that supported not only my personal transformation but also my understanding of how we hold experiences within the body.

My education became deeply personal. Each certification and area of study became more than knowledge to share — it became something I practiced, experienced, and integrated into my own life.

Through my journey, I learned that healing is not a destination. It is an ongoing process of listening, learning, releasing, growing, and returning to ourselves again and again.

Nourishment has also been a foundational part of my journey. I have followed a plant-based lifestyle for over 35 years and have been vegan for more than three decades. Over that time, I have experienced firsthand the connection between the foods we choose, the way we care for our bodies, and the way we move through life.

For me, plant-based whole-food nourishment became more than a way of eating — it became a daily practice of self-care, grounding, and connection. It supported me as I explored other healing practices and reminded me of the importance of creating a strong foundation for overall well-being.

My journey has shown me that healing is not just about one practice or one approach. It is about learning how different pieces work together — nourishment, breath, movement, mindfulness, self-awareness, and connection with ourselves.

This understanding is what inspired the Nourish & Restore philosophy behind HolisticXpressions: the belief that caring for the body is an essential part of caring for the whole self.

This is the heart behind HolisticXpressions.

I created this space to share the tools, practices, recipes, reflections, and resources that have supported me while encouraging others to explore their own path.

My hope is that through HolisticXpressions, you find inspiration to nourish your body, restore your energy, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and create a life that feels aligned with who you truly are.

Why I Created HolisticXpressions

HolisticXpressions was created from a desire to share the practices, wisdom, and tools that have supported my own journey toward greater balance, awareness, and well-being.

Throughout my life, I have learned that healing and wellness are not found in just one practice, one belief, or one approach. True wellness is created through the relationship between how we nourish our bodies, care for our minds, connect with our emotions, and honor our own unique path.

I created HolisticXpressions as a space where these pieces could come together — a place where nourishment, mindfulness, breathwork, movement, nervous system support, and holistic living could be explored in a practical and meaningful way.

Through my writing, teaching, podcast, recipes, and wellness resources, my intention is to offer inspiration and tools that encourage others to reconnect with themselves and discover practices that support their own journey.

HolisticXpressions is not about perfection. It is about creating small, intentional moments of care that help us feel more grounded, connected, and aligned with who we are.

My hope is that this space reminds you that wellness is a journey — one built through awareness, compassion, nourishment, and the willingness to continue growing.
